Water-Conscious and Responsible
One of the many facets of a sound environmental management system is water conservation. At Brooks we are continually adjusting management practices to increase efficiency and reduce our inputs. Water management and irrigation is a key component to our success. Over the years we have reduced irrigated acreage in non-play areas, replaced old sprinkler heads and nozzles, implemented hand watering during the summer months, and updated our pump stations with Variable Frequency Drive controls and a high efficiency pump that has reduced our water time window leading to less power consumption and lower utility bills.
